In Our Words: “Built just after the 1906 earthquake and fire, this Richmond District home suffered a 1980s renovation. Tasked with updating the home’s layout and style while maintaining its original character, we added a skylight and expanded doorways and windows to open and brighten the interior.
From shower tiles to decorative pillows, the palette is layered with color, texture and pattern. Custom millwork throughout the house offers warmth, stylistic variety and lots of functional storage, while creative window treatments frame original windows and views of the cherished Japanese maple trees on each end of the property. Custom finishes, millwork and furniture join together to create a unique and adaptable house that supports the family’s creativity, personalities and needs.”
